New Zealand gamers will get a hands-on go at two of Ubisofts major franchises during this year’s Armageddon Expo. Assassins Creed Origins and Far Cry 5 will be playable at New Zealand’s major pop-culture convention. Assassins Creed Origins will be playable on the Xbox One X (still the dumbest name for a console), and boasts an epic 4k resolution for players. Far Cry 5 will be playable on the Playstation 4 Pro (less dumb but still not great). It is nice that Ubisoft is giving both consoles an exclusive at this event, meaning hopefully the lines won’t be as killer as usual.

Despite sharing many of the same features, the games are also vastly different. Both focus on combat and exploration. However, Origins is a single-player experience, giving players a cool RPG system and character focused game; something they have adapted and improved on from Assassins Creed Syndicate. And on the other hand Far Cry 5 offers both a single and two player co-op option, based more around player experience. Origins is set in the dry land of an ancient world, while Far Cry is set in the lush landscape of rural Montana. Ubisoft are offering New Zealand gamers a hands-on go at two games with similar concepts, but two different executions.

This announcement about Origins comes in the wake of Ubisoft revealing what will be available in their post-launch content; which you can check out here.
Assassins Creed Origins and Far Cry 5 will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC, but will release at different dates. Assassins Creed Origins is hitting stores on October 27th 2017, and Far Cry 5 is coming February 27th 2018.
