Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the director behind the last King Kong movie and the future Metal Gear Solid (!!) movie, has treated us with a Destiny 2 trailer.
Destiny 2 : New Legends Will Rise stars Nathan Fillion as Cayde-6, motivating three new guardians to defend Earth. A humorous trailer set to Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” (good taste there, Jordan), you get to see the sick outfits and weapons you’ll be using in game. Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Iron Man 2) directed the original’s trailer, so it looks like Activision is seeking out Hollywood heavyweights for their promos. After seeing this, and hearing Vogt-Roberts passion for video games and Metal Gear Solid, perhaps there is hope for a decent video game movie. Although there’s no telling from a two-minute trailer, so only time will tell.
