Modus Games and Moondrop have just announced that their 2D puzzle platformer Degrees of Separation will launch on February 14th for PS4, Switch, PC and Xbox One. The game also now boasts the narrative skill of Chris Avellone, who worked on Planescape: Torment, Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance and Neverwinter Nights 2.
Degrees of Separation features dual protagonists Ember and Rime, each with the power to manipulate heat or cold, and players must learn to master these abilities in a gorgeously non-linear world that encourages players to experiment and interact with it. For example, Ember can cause a nearby river to melt, while Rime can freeze it over. Leveraging these abilities is at the centre of this atmospheric puzzle adventure that weaves together gameplay, narrative, and character development for a powerful experience.
