I’m Puzzled at Why You Puzzle Lovers Haven’t Picked up Picross 3D: Round 2

For all of you geniuses out there that need to get the mental equivalent of going to the gym, Picross 3D: Round 2 is perfect for you. As it drops a little early on December the 3rd, it would be perfect for Christmas, so if you have a brainiac who is currently giftless, look no further. Picross 3D: Round 2 has you using logical reasoning and your analytical ability to reveal hidden objects by chiseling away a multitude of blocks in a very absorbing cerebral experience. Also, this cerebral experience won’t be ending anytime quickly as there are over 300 brain teasers with more unlockable amiibo.

Puzzles are solved by removing blocks to create lively shapes. The shapes aren’t the only things with life and soul as the game is set in a Parisian-style cafe theme with the expressive sounds of the accordion and soothing saxophone melodies. The series gets a refreshing new shade of difficulty with the ability to add colouring blocks. This means that not only do players have to select which blocks to remove, but also they need to worry about painting the correct ones to create the perfect sculpted object.

Sometimes when we are doing work we get into mental funks which can be easily solved by a quick game of Picross 3D: Round 2. The game has a nice learning curve that lets the players get a feeling for the game as they put their foot in the door, while keeping them constantly on their toes.

The game is built around quick spontaneous game sessions, even giving you the ability to save longer puzzles to do them in pieces. The game has different difficulties so that casual gamers and brainiacs alike can enjoy the challenge that is Picross 3D: Round 2.

Another new feature comes in the form of puzzles accessible through amiibo figures. By scanning compatible amiibo, players can unlock nine exclusive character-themed puzzles. Supported amiibo include; Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Yoshi, Link, Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Peach & Toad, which both offer one and the same puzzle.
