Ubisoft have released new details about the Italian villa backdrop of Rainbow Six: Siege year 3 season 2.
Ubisoft announced two new operators for the Rainbow Six update: Alibi and Maestro, as well as a new map: Villa. There will also be innovative gameplay additions including a ‘Pick & Ban’ system, and improvements to intel, operator speeds and general gameplay. The update is slated for release in June.
The operators are a pair of Italian G.I.S. agents (Gruppo di Intervento Speciale). The map is a luxurious Tuscan villa. It is owned by the Vinciguerra – a crime family known for their smuggling. They live a lavish lifestyle and collect art. Players will find the villa in the midst of a document dump as the family attempt to burn evidence of their crimes. The family however has escaped ahead of the operation, leaving the players to collect the documents.
Operator Alibi is an undercover operations specialist. She is known for infiltrating organised crime and also makes use of a deployable realistic hologram of herself for deception. Operator Maestro is also G.I.S. agent, known by a distinctive scar from operations in Iraq. He uses a bulletproof remote access turret which can see through smoke, as well as fire low-power laser beams.
Pick & Ban allows players to counter their opponents’ picks during the banning phase, adding to the strategy of co-ordination. Teams will also swap Operators for the unexpected 6th Pick, adding to the tension.
Additionally game updates include:
· Deloyable Bullet Proof Cameras
· New Counter Defuser Animation
· Dropshotting Adjustments
· Weapon Sight Misalignment Adjustments
· New Observation Tool Management
· Operator Speed Adjustments
· Echo Buff
· Clubhouse Map Buff
