Developer Nightdive Studios along with Atari have released their updated version of the classic original cult classic shooter Blood. The restored and fully updated version of the game is dubbed Blood: Fresh Supply and is built to bring the classic mayhem to modern PC’s while retaining the non-stop hellfire-fueled gunplay. While staying true to the difficult single-player campaign of the original, the new version has competitive and cooperative online multiplayer to enable you to gang up on hellish hordes or each other.
Blood: Fresh Supply is available for PC on Steam, GOG, The Humble Store and Discord for $9.99USD, including all the gory goodness of the original and its expansion packs (Cryptic Passage and the Plasma Pak) enhanced by the new engine, split-screen mode and netcode.
Larry Kuperman, Director of Business Development at Nightdive Studios said, “It has been both a great pleasure and an honor to have had the opportunity to work with Atari to update this classic game title that helped firmly cement the FPS as one of the most popular game genres. We look forward to sharing the gory splendor of Blood: Fresh Supply with a new generation of gamers as well as with the many current fans eager to play one of their favorite titles on contemporary PCs.”
Blood was originally released in 1997 and is a first person shooter that redefined the genre, introducing many elements that are now commonplace. In both the original and the updated Blood: Fresh Supply players will play as undead gunslinger Caleb who is seeking revenge against the dark god Chernobog. Your arsenal consists of a mix of standard and occult weaponry, producing a devastating and gore-filled effect.
