Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Shin Megami Tensei, and More Announced During Nintendo Switch Presentation

Today’s Nintendo Switch Presentation was like Christmas morning. No, actually fuck Christmas, it was even better.

At the initial announcement, Nintendo showed off how many third party developers were on board with the Switch, a much needed move considering the Wii U’s barren library and tanking sales. Now some of these developers are showing a sneak peak of their work, as well as a few beloved Nintendo IPs flaunting their next installment.

Splatoon 2

Following the success of it’s predecessor, Splatoon 2¬†looks to double down, with all new dual wielded guns, special super moves, and a raft of new weapons.

Super Mario Odyssey

Mario ventures out into the worlds beyond the Mushroom Kingdom in this open world sandbox game, featuring a range of rich looking locations with plenty to explore.

Xenoblade 2

Featuring stunning visuals, Xenoblade 2 looks to offer a JRPG experience that’s easy on the eyes with refreshing combat mechanics if it’s to be anything like the first.

Combining motion controls with fast paced boxing action, Arms answers the question many of us have pondered: What if boxers had slinkies for arms?

Teasers: Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei

Offering little more than a sneak peek, the presentation confirms that a new Fire Emblem game and a new Shin Megami Tensei game are in development

and last but not least…

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The most anticipated game for the Nintendo Switch also got itself a fancy new trailer, and holy shit – words can’t even describe how good this game is looking. As well as the trailer, the release date has been officially confirmed for March 3rd, launching as a release title alongside the Nintendo Switch – you can take it home and play it on release day!
