Capcom have announced that Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be releasing 14th February 2020 for PS4 and PC. They also announced that Gill makes his angelic return to the series in the Champion Edition, and will be available to current Street Fighter V players from December.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition includes all content (except Fighting Chance costumes, Capcom Pro Tour DLC and brand collaboration costumes) from the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. All characters, stages and other content added since Arcade Edition will be included, along with all launch content for this new version. In total, this robust edition includes 40 characters, 34 stages and more than 200 costumes. Battle your way through the exciting single-player and multi-player modes for all skill levels, including Story Mode, Team Battle, Arcade Mode, Casual Match, Ranked Match and more.
The Champion Edition also marks the return of Gill, the leader of the Secret Society and the end boss from Street Fighter III. Gill is a master of cryokinesis and pyrokinesis which allows him to control both fire and ice with the perfect balance. After plotting behind the scenes, Gill is now ready to reveal himself to the world and set out to fulfill the prophecy that the Secret Society has coveted since ancient times. Gill will be included in the new edition, or can be purchased separately from December 2019 for MSRP $5.99 / £4.99 / €5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available physically and digitally on PS4 and digitally on Steam MSRP $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 beginning on 14th February 2020. From the 18th November current owners of any version of Street Fighter V can purchase an upgrade kit for MSRP $24.99 / £19.99 / €24.99 to get all the unowned Champion Edition content when it releases.
Additionally, all DLC characters can still be earned free of charge by completing in-game challenges and with in-game currency, called Fight Money. But if you can’t wait, you can purchase the content with real money. Some additional content will only be able to be acquired with Fight Money, to be earned through normal gameplay.
