We are thrilled to bring world-class gaming to Philadelphia’s expanding technology, esports, and entertainment scene.”
The arena is currently in the midst of a renovation called Transformation 2020 which is aiming to reinvent all aspects of the fan experience at the venue. The Overwatch League Grand Finals will be the first major event since the major upgrades and advancements over summer, which includes an overhaul of the main concourse, installation of the worlds first Kinetic 4k centre-hung entertainment system and brand new lower bowl seating.
The Grand Finals represent the culmination of the 2019 Overwatch League playoffs, which features 12 of the 20 teams. For post season, the two winners of division will automatically qualify along with the best four teams by record, regardless of division. Two additional teams will qualify from a play-in tournament between the 7th and 12th place teams. These eight teams will compete in a double elimination bracket, and the final two teams will then compete in the Grand Finals.
