The Sinking City to release 12th September for Nintendo Switch

Frogwares have announced the official release date for The Sinking City … 12th September!

There are a selection of timed pre-order bonuses for the Nintendo Switch edition, while the Deluxe Edition will include additional side missions. These are available digitally with the standard version retailing for $49.99 while the Deluxe Edition is set for $64.99. And this isn’t just a standard port! The team have made multiple improvements and tweaks from players feedback. It’s also available in multiple languages with full VO and text in English, German, French and Russian. Text support is available in Spanish, Italian, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Sergey Organesyan, Communications Manager said, “We initially wanted to do a physical release – we know lots of players prefer these – but we were eventually forced to put this off for now. We didn’t want to take too long to release the game on the Nintendo Switch, but going into the logistics and distribution of physical editions would push the release back by months. Frogwares is self-publishing this version but we’re not a big company and don’t have  the resources to handle such a complex process ourselves. So, we’re focusing on the digital release first and might release a physical edition later.”

Serge Chervonnyi, Game Producer Manager, said “We did our best to optimize the game and ensure it runs at a stable 30 frames throughout. We also improved combat a bit to have more weight and feel. Weapons now have new gunshot sounds, improved recoil and new visual effects. We also did our best to improve the game from people’s feedback. So things like crowd behavior and pedestrian AI has been tweaked along with all around additional levels of polishing and bug fixing.”
